Synthare, syntare, dark wave, goth, electronic music - PIN

In Sweden in the 80s teens started to listen to electronic music like Depeche Mode, Front 242, DAF, Front line assembly etc, and the definition of the sub culture genre, listening to music made with synthesizers, where referred to as "synth". Being a person listening to this type of music was therefore a "synthare" (sometimes spelled syntare). The "synthare" was always in conflict with the metal heads listening to 80s metal.
