The Lady from Öja is a figure from the Viking Age, originally 52 mm long and made of copper alloy. The figure, which was acquired by the Historical Museum in 1863, exudes a gentle and pensive expression with her arms wrapped around her stomach suggesting that she is pregnant. With the included base, the figure reaches approx. 7 cm in height. On the figure's back is a shape similar to a belt, which may suggest that she is wearing a long dress with a belt, or possibly a skirt and bodice, where the visible edge may represent a jacket edge.
The lady from Öja is classified as a loose find, which means that it has not been found in a specific grave or settlement. Finding number 457610_HST.
